Taste Nature Social Enterprise (registered charitable trust #CC59242) is the not-for-profit arm of Dunedin business, Taste Nature Organics, which is built on foundations of sustainable and ethical values. The social enterprise was established by owner Clinton Chambers as a foundation to deliver community outreach programmes, to ensure that the benefits of organics, health and wellbeing are accessible to all, empowering people and promoting change. The social enterprise and the business adhere to a set of legal, ethical, social and ecological standards. It is a form of business self-regulation to support greater public awareness of ethical, health and environmental issues.

Taking on the Ōtepoti Garden Festival presented a way to be more deeply involved in growing and nurturing the city and community where we live. The two align on ethical standards and a shared interest in establishing greater community outreach through the living things we grow, enjoy and protect.

The future success of the Festival will come from forging strong partnerships with key stakeholders including local council, community organisations and businesses, and by working in collaboration with other Dunedin festivals and fixtures in the city’s events calendar.
