Welcome to Hawthorn Cottage & Garden in Janefield on the outskirts of Mosgiel.

A Garden established since 2010 from a blank canvas. Jo & Craig have created a plant lovers paradise, a traditional Cottage garden with a modern twist to compliment the 120 year old Cottage.

The 2 acre Garden includes Perennials, well over 100 Roses, Rhododendrons, Maples, Dogwoods, Crabapples, and many more unusual trees and shrubs.

The garden is divided into informal rooms by mixed hedging which creates intriguing views along each path and around every corner.
The charming Summer House in the centre of the garden provides a tranquil place to sit and enjoy the garden.

Jo & Craig have always had a vision to be self sufficient. They have achieved this by creating a large orchard, berry cage and extensive vegetable garden on organic principles.

Lots of interesting structures and quirky features make this a garden to celebrate. Take your time to ramble and savor the peace and quiet of a country garden. This is a garden that is constantly changing throughout the seasons so a repeat visit may be needed !.
